About the role

You will be part of a skilled team of Process Controllers and Field Service Engineers responsible for the safe, effective operation, maintenance, and optimisation of anaerobic digestion and bioresource treatment assets.

Working in a dynamic and modern operational environment, you will carry out proactive, planned and reactive tasks to help deliver key outcomes across regulatory compliance, performance, customer service, and sustainability.

What you'll be doing

Working within a clear framework of Quality Assurance and Standard Operating Procedures, you'll build strong working relationships to proactively identify operational issues-particularly those that may impact compliance, energy generation, or environmental performance. You'll be part of a site that plays a central role in converting waste to renewable energy and resource recovery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and optimising Anaerobic Digestion and dewatering plants to ensure maximum efficiency and biogas production.
  • Maintaining up-to-date technical skills and competence relevant to high-performance digestion operations.
  • Delivering all cyclic and reactive tasks on time and to standard, using digital systems to log and track activities.
  • Supporting site reviews and providing informed input into performance improvements and technical decisions.
  • Gathering and reporting accurate asset performance data, especially in relation to gas output, throughput, and compliance metrics.
  • Investigating process anomalies and recommending sustainable solutions to recurring issues within digestion systems.
  • Working towards and maintaining an accredited qualification relevant to your role, alongside health and safety, technical and behavioural training programmes.
  • Coordinating and supervising contractors on site to ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly and in line with operational standards
