Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Automotive Engineering or a related field.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Knowledge of ISO, IATF, APQP standards, and proven quality/project management techniques.
  • Audit qualification (or willingness to achieve one).

  • Develop, implement, and maintain our Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS) and Business Management System (BMS).
  • Design and develop products, process improvements, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Conduct supplier, product, and service audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and contract documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, quality, and production capabilities.
  • Deliver training to raise quality awareness and skills across the business.

We’re looking for a Quality & Process Engineer to join a leading automotive engineering company in Birmingham. This is a pivotal role where you’ll develop and implement business processes and standards across Production, Quality, Engineering, Environmental, Health & Safety, and Training while delivering commercially viable engineering solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop, implement, and maintain our Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS) and Business Management System (BMS) in line with company objectives and industry standards.
  • Design and develop products, process improvements, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Conduct supplier, product, and service audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and contract documentation including FMEAs, Control Plans, and PFDs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, quality, and production capabilities.
  • Deliver both formal and informal training to raise quality awareness and skills across the business.
