Job summary

The Forward Trust is hiring a Drug & Alcohol Recovery Worker to support adults with addiction in Cambridgeshire. You will manage a diverse caseload, complete assessments and care plans, and work within an integrated healthcare setting alongside healthcare professionals, probation staff and community partners.

You will deliver one-to-one and group interventions using evidence-based psychosocial approaches, provide harm-reduction guidance, and support both harm reduction and abstinence-based

Qualifications

• Experience in drug and alcohol services, healthcare, mental health, criminal justice, or related support settings.
• Experience carrying out assessments, care planning and risk management.
• Ability to deliver one-to-one and group interventions.
• Solid understanding of harm reduction and recovery-focused practice.
• Strong IT and records-keeping skills.
• Willingness to travel to nearby services within the local cluster.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of clients with drug and alcohol support needs.
• Conduct assessments, care plans, risk assessments and regular reviews.
• Deliver one-to-one and group interventions using evidence-based approaches.
• Provide harm reduction guidance and recovery-focused support.
