Job summary

The National Probation Service in Wales is recruiting for a permanent full-time Interventions role. The post focuses on delivering Accredited Programmes and Structured Interventions to individuals on community orders or licences, including those with domestic or sexual abuse or other violent offences.

Most sessions occur in the evenings, with travel across a wide region required. You will monitor progress and risk, maintain records, and work with courts and agencies to support sentence

Qualifications

• Experience relevant to the role evidenced in one application question.
• Facilitation skills demonstrated in interview (≤10 minutes).
• Familiarity with Civil Service behaviours: Communicating and Influencing; Developing Self and Others; Managing a Quality Service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver group and individual work on Accredited Programmes and Structured Interventions to people on community orders or licence.
• Use evidence-based approaches to change attitudes, beliefs and behaviour and reduce reoffending.
• Manage group dynamics, address challenging behaviour and keep sessions safe and structured.
