Slater & Gordon is seeking an experienced Probate Executive to join our growing Wills, Tax, Trusts & Probate team in Manchester. You will manage a varied caseload and advise clients on all aspects of estate administration, including intestacy and inheritance tax.

You will prepare probate documents, liaise with HMCTS, financial institutions, valuers and beneficiaries, and provide clear, empathetic guidance. The role supports high-quality client service within a leading consumer law firm.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a probate or Wills, Tax, Trusts & Probate team.
• Strong knowledge of administration processes and relevant legislation.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple files at different stages.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of probate matters from instruction to completion.
• Advise clients on estate administration, including intestacy, inheritance tax, and asset distribution.
• Prepare and submit probate documentation; liaise with HMCTS, banks, valuers, and beneficiaries.
• Provide estate planning advice and prepare wills and lasting powers of attorney.
• Maintain clear, empathetic communication with clients throughout their matter.
• Ensure files are managed efficiently in line with S&G processes and regulatory obligations.
• Contribute to team targets and maintain strong billing performance as a key fee earner.
