The University of Portsmouth invites applications for the role of Pro Dean (Global) within the Faculty of Science & Health. This is a strategic leadership position focused on expanding global engagement, strengthening international partnerships and delivering an inclusive, student-centred experience.

You will work closely with the Deputy Vice Chancellor - Global Engagement & Student Life, providing faculty-wide leadership across Schools.

The Role

We are seeking an outstanding academic leader to join the Faculty of Science & Health's leadership team as Pro Dean (Global). This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for advancing the faculty's global engagement working closely with the Deputy Vice Chancellor - Global Engagement & Student Life to translate the University Strategy into meaningful faculty wide outcomes. You will provide strategic leadership across Schools, strengthening international partnerships and global opportunities while championing an outstanding, inclusive and student-centred experience.

Location

Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.

Salary

£83,506 to £92,015 per annum (Grade 11)

Salary Information

New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
