A South London Council is seeking multiple officers to join its Private Sector Housing team. Successful candidates will be placed into service areas that best match their skills and experience, offering exposure to a wide range of housing enforcement and regulatory functions.

The Role

Responsibilities may include:

• Investigating housing complaints and service requests
• Managing housing enforcement cases within the private rented sector
• Regulating licensed and unlicensed HMOs
• Working within selective licensing schemes
• Issuing and progressing enforcement action
• Handling Community Protection Notices (CPNs)
• Supporting wider private sector housing functions and initiatives

About You

To be considered, you should have:

• Previous experience within Private Sector Housing
• A good understanding of housing enforcement legislation
• Experience managing enforcement investigations and casework
• Knowledge of HMO regulation and licensing schemes
• Strong communication and case management skills
