Job summary

Finatal is seeking a candidate with strong experience in private markets to assess and execute secondary investment opportunities. The role involves modelling, valuation, due diligence, and presenting to investment committees as part of a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.

You will engage with GPs and sponsors, support negotiations and monitor portfolio developments across LP-led and GP-led transactions, contributing to rigorous investment decisions.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in Investment Banking, ideally within M&A, Leveraged Finance, Sponsors or a sector team.
• Alternatively, 1-2 years' experience within a private equity secondaries investment team.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and execute secondary investment opportunities across LP-led and GP-led transactions.
• Perform financial modelling, valuation analysis and return underwriting.
• Conduct due diligence on fund portfolios, underlying companies and private equity sponsors.
• Prepare investment committee materials and recommendations.
• Participate in management meetings with GPs, advisors and counterparties.
• Support transaction execution, negotiations and deal closing processes.
• Monitor portfolio investments and market developments within private markets.
