Vasto Legal Recruitment Ltd is assisting a leading international law firm in London to recruit a Private Funds Associate (4+ PQE). The role sits in a growing Private Funds team that covers the full life cycle of private funds and related asset management activities.

The successful candidate will bring 4+ years of post-qualification experience in private funds, fund formation or asset management, with exposure to private equity, VC or alternative investment fund structuring and fundraisings.

Qualifications

• 4+ years post-qualified experience in private funds, fund formation or asset management at a leading City, national or international law firm
• Experience of private equity, venture capital or alternative investment fund structuring and fundraisings
• Exposure to asset management M&A or corporate work for investment managers would be an advantage
• England & Wales qualification

Responsibilities

• Advising on the full life cycle of private funds and asset management businesses, including structuring and establishment of private equity, venture capital, credit and other funds
• Handling asset management M&A activity, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and related corporate work
• Providing regulatory and advisory support to investment managers and investors in the funds space

Private Funds Associate (4+ PQE) | London

We are working with a leading international law firm on a position within their Private Funds team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid to senior-level associate to join a growing team, working across its corporate, regulatory and finance practices.

The team advises asset managers, investment managers and investors on the full life cycle of private funds and asset management businesses. Work spans the structuring and establishment of private equity, venture capital, credit and other alternative investment funds, secondary fund transactions, fund restructurings and carried interest arrangements.

Alongside this, the team handles asset management M&A, including acquisitions, disposals, minority stake investments, spin-outs and joint ventures involving investment management businesses, as well as corporate advisory and shareholder activism work.

This position would suit a candidate with:

• 4+ years post-qualified experience in private funds, fund formation or asset management at a leading City, national or international law firm
• Experience of private equity, venture capital or alternative investment fund structuring and fundraisings
• Exposure to asset management M&A or corporate work for investment managers would be an advantage
• England & Wales qualification
