Qualifications

• Previous experience as a private household cook or within a high-end private service environment is advantageous.
• Strong all-round cooking skills, covering both relaxed family meals and refined dinner party menus.
• Familiarity with kosher requirements and Shabbat meal preparation.
• A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and well-presented food.
• A warm, discreet and adaptable approach to working within a family home.
• Excellent organisation, time management and kitchen management skills.
• Flexibility to work on a rotational schedule and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily lunches and dinners for the family, including suitable meals for young children.
• Plan and prepare traditional Shabbat meals on Fridays.
• Cater for weekend guests, dinner parties and special entertaining occasions.
• Create varied, seasonal menus that reflect the family's tastes and preferences.
• Maintain excellent standards of kitchen organisation, cleanliness and food safety.
• Manage food shopping, supplier orders, stock rotation and kitchen inventory.
• Accommodate dietary requirements and demonstrate an understanding of kosher food practices.
• Travel with the family within Europe when required.
