Job summary

StepStone is seeking penultimate-year undergraduates, final-year students or master's students for a Summer Analyst internship on our Private Equity team. You will gain hands-on experience across private equity, including fund investments, co-investments and secondaries, with exposure to a broad range of industries and deal structures.

Qualifications

• Penultimate-year undergraduate or final-year student or master's student.
• Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
• At least one 3- or 6-month internship in finance, consulting or related area.
• Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with AI tools is desirable.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong quantitative and modeling capabilities.
• Ability to represent the Firm credibly in written and oral communications.
• Flexible, team-oriented attitude; willingness to perform multiple functions.
• Foreign language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Target and perform due diligence on opportunities across the Private Equity team’s verticals.
• Conduct financial modelling and prepare investment memorandums.
• Prepare and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Interact with fund managers and portfolio company management teams.
• Perform market research and analyze macro trends across sectors and geographies.
• Synthesize findings into investment memorandums for committee review.
