Job summary

ZEST Dental Recruitment, in partnership with an established independent private dental practice in Hull, is seeking a Private Dentist for a three-day-per-week, permanent role. The position offers 50% private remuneration and 50% toward laboratory fees, with a small NHS children's contract and a pathway to expand private income.

You will join a well-equipped practice with an established patient base, intraoral scanner, digital X-rays and a stable nursing team.

Qualifications

• GDC registered dentists with post qualification experience and an active NHS Performer Number.
• Strong communication skills and patient relationship abilities.
• Interest in developing long-term private patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide private dentistry with full clinical freedom and opportunity to develop interests (implants, aligners, restorative dentistry).
• Work with an experienced nursing team in a well-equipped practice and maintain high patient care standards.
• Transfer and manage an established patient list from retiring colleagues where applicable.
• Collaborate with the practice to grow private income and maintain strong patient relationships.

ZEST Dental Recruitment, working in partnership with an established independent private dental practice, is seeking to recruit a Private Dentist.

• Independent Dental Practice

• Three days per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
• Full list of patients to transfer from retiring dentist
• Predominantly private practice with an established patient list to inherit from a retiring principal dentist
• 50% private remuneration and 50% contribution towards laboratory fees
• Small NHS children's contract, £19 per UDA, paid on activity with no UDA target
• Excellent opportunity for a dentist looking to transition from mixed to predominantly private dentistry
• Full clinical freedom with scope to develop additional interests, including implants, clear aligners and advanced restorative dentistry
• Well-equipped practice with intraoral scanner, digital X-rays and rotary endodontics
• Experienced nursing team and hygiene support
• Three surgeries, with a fourth planned for 2027
• Available from March 2027

The position has become available following the retirement of a long-standing dentist who has cared for patients at the practice for over 30 years. The successful candidate will benefit from an established patient base, with excellent potential to develop long-term patient relationships and further grow their private income.

The practice is well-equipped, with modern facilities and an experienced, stable nursing team. There is a strong emphasis on providing high-quality, patient-centred dentistry, with full clinical freedom and the opportunity to develop additional clinical interests. The practice is also expanding, with plans to introduce a fourth surgery, providing potential for additional working days and greater flexibility in the future.

Successful candidates will be GDC registered dentists with a good level of experience post qualification and an active NHS Performer Number. The practice is seeking a dentist with excellent communication skills, a commitment to high-quality patient care and an interest in developing long-term relationships with an established private patient base.
