Job summary

TPF Recruitment on behalf of a London-based accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Trust Manager to join their Private Client and Trusts Team. The role focuses on high net worth clients, trust accounting, compliance and advisory work.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of UK resident trusts, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with solicitors, advisers and HMRC to deliver rigorous trust services and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• ACCA, ACA, CTA or STEP qualification.
• 3–5 years' experience within a Trusts, Private Client Tax or Estate Planning team.
• Experience preparing and reviewing trust accounts.
• Experience completing trust tax returns and managing trust compliance work.
• Good understanding of UK trust taxation and private client tax matters.
• Experience supervising or reviewing junior staff is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of UK resident trust clients.
• Preparing and reviewing trust accounts and trust tax returns.
• Overseeing trust compliance and administration activities.
• Assisting with inheritance tax (IHT) planning and succession planning projects.
• Mentoring, training and developing junior colleagues.
• Liaising with clients, solicitors, financial advisers and HMRC.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior staff members.
• Ensuring all client and statutory deadlines are met.
