Qualifications

• ATT or CTA qualified, or equivalent experience.
• Strong private client tax experience.
• Good knowledge of personal tax, trusts, estates, IHT and CGT.
• Experience managing your own client portfolio.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Experience reviewing tax returns and computations.
• Good organisation and time-management skills.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues.
• A practical and commercial approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, trusts and estates.

A respected accountancy practice in St Albans is looking for a Private Client Tax Manager to join its growing team.

You will advise high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, business owners and trustees on a range of tax matters, including compliance, planning and succession.

The role offers strong client contact, varied advisory work and clear progression opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, trusts and estates.
• Review personal, trust and estate tax returns.
• Advise on IHT, CGT, succession and estate planning.
• Support executors, trustees and professional advisers.
• Deal with HMRC enquiries, clearances and correspondence.
• Attend client meetings and provide practical advice.

What we are looking for

Ideally, you will be ATT or CTA qualified, or have equivalent experience.

You should have:
