Overview

Private Client Tax Senior — Our client is a leading accountancy and advisory firm with a strong reputation for delivering expert tax services to a diverse and high-profile client base. The Private Client department is known for its collaborative culture and technical excellence. The role is London-based and offers exposure to a broad portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, partnerships, and international clients. You will manage your own portfolio, support advisory projects, and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare personal tax returns for review by Managers
  • Act as a key point of contact between clients and senior staff
  • Assist with general private client tax matters and identify planning opportunities
  • Communicate with HMRC and manage correspondence
  • Respond to client queries and provide clear, timely advice
  • Support the training and supervision of junior team members
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and advisory work as required
Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • ATT qualified
  • Demonstrable personal tax experience within a practice environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good working knowledge of income tax, capital gains tax, employment taxes, and international client matters
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of inheritance tax, tax credits, capital allowances, and foreign income treatment
  • Experience using Digita software (training provided if needed)
  • A proactive attitude and ability to prioritise under pressure
  • Interest in progressing towards CTA qualification (support available post-probation)
