The Role

Reed Practice is recruiting for a Private Client Tax Senior on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy firm based in Cheltenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional looking to specialise in private client work within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

As a Private Client Tax Senior, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates
  • Prepare and review personal tax returns and computations
  • Provide tax planning advice on matters such as inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and residence/domicile issues
  • Liaise directly with clients and HMRC to resolve queries and ensure smooth communication
  • Support junior staff with training and development, reviewing their work where necessary
  • Assist managers and partners with complex tax matters and contribute to client service delivery

About You

You are ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or part-qualified) and:

  • Have solid experience in personal tax within a UK accountancy practice
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation affecting individuals and trusts
  • Are confident managing client relationships and delivering clear, proactive advice
  • Have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Are proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Thrive in a collaborative and professional team environment
