Private Client Tax - Assistant Manager Central London | Permanent | £55,000 plus benefits

An established and respected firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers is looking for a Private Client Assistant Manager to join its growing tax team. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, directors/shareholders, non-UK resident clients, and a selection of partnerships and trusts.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing personal tax returns for review and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, partners, and managers.
  • Overseeing P11Ds, ATEDs, PSAs, and NRL returns.
  • Liaising with HMRC on enquiries, CGT returns, overpayment relief claims, and double tax treaty forms.
  • Supporting tax planning and advisory projects, identifying opportunities for clients.
  • Leading and mentoring junior team members.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years' personal tax experience in an accountancy practice.
  • ATT qualified; CTA preferred.
  • Strong experience with P11Ds, PSAs, ATEDs, and year-end planning.
  • Excellent client-facing, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, able to prioritise multiple deadlines, and experienced in Microsoft Office (Digital advantageous).
