Job summary

Octopus Legacy Limited in London is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to craft bespoke wills, provide IHT guidance and advise on, establish and administer trusts for clients with tailored needs.

You will work closely with clients, understand complex family and business circumstances, and deliver strategic wealth planning, with strong regulatory and professional standards. Hybrid working available with emphasis on client-focused service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE in private client law.
• Experience drafting and advising on complex wills, trusts, and estate structures.
• Experience in trust administration.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand estate planning needs and objectives.
• Draft wills and trusts including discretionary, life interest, and bare trusts.
• Provide guidance on the creation, administration and taxation of trusts, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Advise on asset protection, succession planning and tax efficiency of trust structures.
• Review and revise wills and trusts to reflect changes in law or personal circumstances.
• Collaborate with financial advisors and other professionals to deliver comprehensive estate planning.
• Manage administration of trusts and ensure proper distribution of assets according to settlors' intentions.
