Job summary

Kingsgate Recruitment is actively seeking a qualified Private Client Fee Earner to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload and deliver a high standard of advice on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or Chartered Legal Executive with experience across private client matters and a client-focused, professional approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or Chartered Legal Executive.
• Strong knowledge of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration.
• Experience managing own caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of private client matters from initial instruction through to completion.
• Advise clients on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Estate Administration.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including Wills and estate planning documentation.
• Deal with applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
• Administer estates, including obtaining valuations, settling liabilities and distributing assets to beneficiaries.
• Provide appropriate advice regarding Inheritance Tax and estate planning.
• Establish and administer trusts and advise clients on relevant trust matters.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive client files in accordance with regulatory and firm requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, beneficiaries, executors, trustees and other professional advisers.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide a professional and approachable service.
• Manage workloads effectively and meet relevant deadlines and financial targets.
• Comply with SRA/CILEX requirements, AML regulations, firm procedures and other relevant legal and regulatory obligations.
• Contribute to the continued development and reputation of the Private Client department.
