Job summary

Chadwick Nott are working with a West Midlands firm to appoint a Private Client Solicitor. With 3–5 years PQE you will handle a broad mix of private client matters, including wills, trusts and Court of Protection.

You will manage probate and estate administration, draft wills and lasting powers of attorney, and advise executors, trustees and beneficiaries. STEP qualification is preferred, and a strong client-service ethos is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years PQE in private client law.
• STEP qualification preferred.
• Good knowledge of trusts, estates, wills, POA and Court of Protection.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a track record of client service.

A new opportunity has arisen for a private client solicitor to join this L500 rated West Midlands firm. With 3-5 years' PQE, you will advise on a broad mix of private client law matters.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on wills, estate planning, inheritance tax and asset protection matters
• Managing probate and estate administration matters from instruction through to completion
• Drafting wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and other private client documentation
• Advising executors, trustees, attorneys and beneficiaries on their duties and responsibilities
• Handling Court of Protection applications and deputyship matters
• Providing advice on trust creation, administration and succession planning
• Assisting clients with later-life planning, including care fee considerations and capacity issues
• Liaising with financial advisers, accountants and other professional contacts to deliver comprehensive client solutions
• Supporting business development activity

About you

• 3-5 years' PQE
• STEP qualified is a preference
• Good knowledge of trusts, administration of estates, wills, powers of attorney and court of protection applications
• Excellent attention to detail
• Self-motivation and a track record of providing excellent client service
