Our client’s firm, founded in 1870, has offices in South Somerset and East Devon, with a sub-office in Mid Devon. With 3 Partners and 22 staff, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional client service in Private Client law.

Are you the right person for the job?
  • 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience in Private Client law
  • Strong background handling Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney
  • Confidence in managing a varied caseload in a busy office environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first approach
  • Willingness to take on a client-facing, face-to-face role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset, working effectively with partners, fee earners, trainees, and support staff
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and service
What will your role look like?
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of Private Client matters
  • Work closely with one Partner, two senior fee earners, a trainee solicitor, and support staff to deliver exceptional client care
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients in a friendly, professional manner
  • Contribute to a department that represents approximately 60% of the firm’s billing
  • Ensure compliance with firm procedures, maintaining high standards of client service
What can you expect in return?
  • Competitive salary (around £60,000+, negotiable depending on experience) plus discretionary annual bonus
