Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a Paralegal role within a private client or Wills, Trusts & Probate department.
  • Strong organisational, time-management and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.

My client is a highly regarded, award-winning Legal 500 law firm with offices across the North of England and a national client base. The firm is recognised for its expertise in Court of Protection, Deputyships, Mental Health Law, Family Law and Mediation, Residential Conveyancing, Dispute Resolution, Employment Law, Education Law, and Wills, Trusts & Probate.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Paralegal to join our Private Client team, specialising in Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate. You will support a busy caseload while also having opportunities to contribute to business development and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and management of matters relating to Wills, Trusts, LPAs and estate/probate administrations.
  • Provide technically-sound advice and client-friendly service, helping clients through complex personal and financial processes.
  • Generate work through networking, speaking engagements, articles and relationship building.
  • Record billable/non-billable time accurately and liaise with billing and finance teams to ensure smooth processing.
  • Work both independently and within a team environment, managing your own tasks and contributing to collective goals.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Prior experience in a Paralegal role within a private client or Wills, Trusts & Probate department.
  • Strong organisational, time-management and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable (role may involve occasional travel).
  • Educated to a good standard — formal legal qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
