We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our clients Private Client team in the Whitley Bay area. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of legal tasks, ensuring smooth case management and effective communication within the department. Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research and compile relevant information to support case preparation
  • Draft and review legal documents, correspondence, and reports using Microsoft Word and other Office applications
  • Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, court dates, and appointments using Microsoft Outlook
  • Manage electronic and paper filing systems efficiently to ensure easy retrieval of information
  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and external agencies via written correspondence or phone calls
  • Support the team in preparing presentations or summaries for court proceedings or client meetings
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and legal standards through meticulous record keeping
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal support role is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with professionalism and discretion
