Overview

Department: Claims Management

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Home United Kingdom

Reporting To: Graham Shord

Description: Exciting new opportunity. Supportive team environment. To carry out the loss adjusting of Major Loss, Private Client and other complex claims and to have oversight of the quality of claims delivery for private client Insurer’s and their customers on a UK wide basis to include supporting the Business Development Team in achieving growth in this area.

Responsibilities
  • To handle claims in line with company requirements and particularly the demanding service standards of MCL clients
  • To oversee all claims involving mid-high net worth customers and those cases requiring additional customer support, taking ownership of such claims if required
  • Mentoring adjusters as necessary to ensure “added value” approach to Private Client claims and working with new recruits to ensure they understand the MCL philosophy
  • To build relationships with existing Private Client Insurers and be the point of contact for any escalations
  • To work with the Business Development and Growth teams to add new clients specialising in mid-high net worth policies to the MCL portfolio
  • To ensure key performance indicator targets are reached and maintained
  • Actively progress and control all cases
  • Understand and effectively implement Company systems and procedures
  • Understand Individual client requirements
  • Ensure technical accuracy of the highest standard
Knowledge and Abilities
  • Required to have previous experience within a similar role
  • To be at least progressing towards or completion of ACILA, FCILA or other professional qualifications a preference
  • Top quality interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Dependability and persistence are essential
  • Proven track record of general property adjusting and high net worth
  • Experience of major losses is preferable
  • Completely flexible approach and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Accustomed to working under pressure in a fast pace, demanding environment
  • Full, clean driving license required
