A leading legal recruitment firm in London is seeking a US-qualified Private Client lawyer with 1+ years’ PQE to join its prestigious department. The successful candidate will advise high net worth individuals on diverse matters including trust, estate planning, and international tax. This role requires strong research capabilities, experience in drafting wills and trusts, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. An LLM in taxation or concentration in tax and estate planning is preferred.
Directories-listed Private Client department in London is looking to recruit a US-qualified Private Client (Wills, Tax Trusts) lawyer of 1 or more years’ PQE. The team provides sophisticated legal advice to some of the world’s most successful people, from aristocracy to first, second and third generation entrepreneurs, industrialists, senior executives, celebrities, artists, philanthropists and other prominent figures. The firm has one of the largest and most comprehensive private client practices in the world. As well as acting for clients with a UK connection, the team has an international focus and acts for clients in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America in relation to trust and succession planning. The successful candidate will join the firm's London-based US Private Client team to advise a broad mix of international high net worth individuals, families, family offices and their closely held businesses and investment structures on US and international tax, trust and estate planning. The work will be diverse covering issues such as international trust and estate planning, expatriation planning, pre-immigration planning, cross-border philanthropy, passive and active investment structuring for both US clients and non-US clients wishing to invest in the US, etc.
Applicants must already be admitted to practice law in the US and ideally be a 1st to 4th year Associate (preferably with a Juris Doctor). Additionally, you will already specialise in Private Client matters and either have an LLM in taxation or law school concentration in tax and estate planning. Prior work experience outside of the US, particularly in London, would also be of interest.
