Job Title: Private Client Fee earner/Senior Will Writer
Salary: £28,000-£40,000
Location: Bakewell

Hours- Part time or full time with opportunity for flexibility of start and finish times

About the Role and Firm:
CRA Consulting are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a valued client - a respected and growing private client-focused law firm - who are seeking an experienced Senior Will Writer to join their expanding team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior-level role where you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality estate planning services, supervising junior colleagues, and supporting the firm's growth through client engagement and business development initiatives. The firm offers a warm, supportive and professional working environment, with an emphasis on team collaboration and client care.

The role will include but is not limited to:

  • Drafting Wills of varying complexity in line with current legislation
  • Advising clients on estate planning matters including inheritance tax, trusts (including APR and BPR), and asset protection
  • Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Supervising and mentoring junior will writers and paralegals
  • Working closely with the wider Private Client team on more complex matters
  • Participating in business development activities to grow the firm's client base


About You:

  • Proven experience in Will drafting and estate planning
  • Strong knowledge of Wills, Trusts and Inheritance Tax matters, including APR and BPR
  • Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or STEP qualification (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, drafting and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • A team player with a positive and professional approach
