Job summary

Clarke Willmott is seeking a Paralegal to join the Private Capital Team in Taunton. You will support a Partner and an Associate on a wide caseload including lifetime planning, probate and court of protection work for high-net-worth clients, estates and charities.

The role involves drafting and advising on wills, trusts, reliefs from inheritance tax and capital gains tax, and the registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney. Travel to other offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in private client work is a plus but not essential.
• You will provide high-level support to the team, pre-empting the needs of fee earners and clients.
• Excellent communication, spelling and grammar, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Advising and drafting wills and trust structures.
• Advising on reliefs and exemptions from inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
• Drafting and registering Lasting Power of Attorney; advising on Enduring Powers of Attorney.
• Drafting Farming Partnerships and assisting on complex estate planning.
• Assisting on probate administration.
• Liaising with Partners and Associates and the wider team; developing client relationships.
