Job summary

Marks Sattin is recruiting a Private Business Tax Manager in Leeds with hybrid working. You will advise privately owned businesses, high-net-worth individuals, family groups and PE-backed portfolios, in a challenging advisory-led environment within a Big 4 setting.

You will own a varied portfolio, deliver UK and international tax guidance, build long-term relationships with senior clients, mentor junior team members, and work cross-functionally on complex projects.

Qualifications

• ACA and/or CTA qualified
• Strong Corporate Tax background
• Up-to-date UK Corporate Tax knowledge with overseas exposure
• Strong advisory and project management experience

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of privately owned and PE-backed businesses
• Providing Corporate Tax advice across a broad range of complex matters
• Advising business owners and senior stakeholders on their tax affairs
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
• Preparing technical reports, advice and tax memos
• Keeping up to date with changes in UK and international tax legislation
• Supporting and coaching more junior members of the team
• Working collaboratively across the wider firm on complex projects and client opportunities

Private Business Tax Manager | Leeds/ Hybrid | £65,000 + Great Benefits Package

I'm currently working on an exciting opportunity with a Big 4 firm for a Private Business Tax Manager, you will be working with a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, wealthy individuals, family groups and PE-backed portfolio companies.

This is an advisory-led role, but strong Corporate Tax experience is essential. You'll be advising businesses and business owners across a broad range of complex UK Tax matters, with the opportunity to work closely with specialists across the wider firm.

You'll take ownership of a varied portfolio, build long-term relationships with senior clients and stakeholders, and have the opportunity to get involved in complex projects while helping to develop and support the wider team.

What you'll be doing day to day:
