Job summary

A premier sports organization in the UK is seeking a Privacy Program Manager to oversee the development and maintenance of its privacy program while ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and relevant laws. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of data protection law, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Qualifications

  • Experience working within a sports organisation, membership body, or charity is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) is beneficial.
  • Relevant certification or training in data protection is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the privacy program.
  • Draft and enforce privacy policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular privacy risk assessments.
  • Manage data subject requests and maintain records.
  • Plan and deliver privacy training programs.
  • Monitor changes in privacy laws and improve processes.

Skills

Excellent knowledge of data protection and privacy law
Strong understanding of data subject rights
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organisational skills
Proactive and collaborative working style
Discretion and sound judgment
Competence in using Microsoft 365 and data management tools
Willingness to learn and develop subject matter expertise
