A leading public services company in the UK is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Prison Offender Manager. This position involves assessing and managing high-risk offenders while encouraging their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Ideal candidates should possess strong decision-making and communication skills. The role offers regular hours with occasional bank holidays, providing a unique opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of others.
HMP Fosse Way is one of the newest prisons in the UK, specifically designed to prioritize education, training, and employment opportunities for prisoners upon their release. Our ultimate goal is to equip inmates with new skills and qualifications that will enable them to secure meaningful employment in key industries upon reintegration into society. This is a rewarding career where you will work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You will build meaningful professional relationships with both prisoners and staff while collaborating with agencies and specialists to ensure effective rehabilitation.
Your responsibilities will include assessing and managing high-risk offenders, developing and implementing effective sentence plans, and supporting probation officers in managing high-risk cases. You will also attend parole hearings, conduct risk assessments, and contribute to offender management meetings. A key part of your role will be encouraging prisoners to engage in education and rehabilitation programs, helping them gain the skills they need to successfully reintegrate into society.
This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with flexible shift patterns, as well as the need to work occasional bank holidays.
This is a non-operational role with regular prisoner-facing responsibilities.
We are looking for individuals with strong decision-making and communication skills who are passionate about helping people break free from cycles of offending.
