Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is looking for 4 Mental Health Prison Nurses for long-term contracts throughout the West Midlands. The role involves delivering comprehensive mental health care to inmates and requires a current RMN qualification and prison clearance. Candidates should have experience in mental health services within a prison setting and possess strong communication and risk assessment skills. Starting ASAP, with a pay rate of £26–£32 per hour.

Coyle Personnel are seeking 4 Mental Health Prison Nurses for long‑term contracts based throughout the West Midlands.

Location: West Midlands

Hours: Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 16:00/30 PM

Pay Rate: £26–£32 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Applicants must have prison clearance ideally up to Cat B or higher.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality mental health care to inmates, including assessments, care planning, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of prisoners' mental health needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to support the mental health needs of inmates.
  • Manage a caseload, adhering to prison protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of nursing care, including clinical procedures, treatments, and the custody, storage, and administration of drugs.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Current RMN qualification with active registration.
  • Valid prison clearance already acquired.
  • Strong background in prison‑based mental health services.
  • Excellent communication, risk assessment, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a secure setting.
