Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in the Prison Health service is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join the Mental Health In-Reach Team at HMP Guys Marsh on a 12-month FTC covering maternity leave. You will provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders and work as part of an integrated service.

The role requires a psychologically minded approach, conducting assessments, planning care and collaborating with community teams to support discharge and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Willing to undergo National Security Vetting.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to work in a prison setting.
• Experience in mental health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist mental health care to offenders.
• Carry out assessments, care planning and risk assessment.
• Support continuity of care across prison and community teams.
