Job summary

Faerch A/S in Ely, United Kingdom, is seeking a manufacturing operator to ensure Print machinery runs at cycle speeds, with minimal waste and products manufactured to specification. You will support operators, perform quality checks, diagnose faults, liaise with engineering and prepare the next job for production in a safe, compliant environment.

The role operates on 4 on 4 off 12-hour continental shifts (0600-1800 / 1800-0600) with benefits including pension, health cash plan, Cycle to Work,

Responsibilities

• Ensure Print machinery runs at standard cycle speeds with minimum wastage and product manufactured within specification.
• Ensure correct setup and efficient running of manufacturing machinery, including color checks using standardized equipment and software.
• Carry out tool and insert changes correctly to SOC’s within an appropriate time.
• Support and cover operators/multiskilled to pack products to specification, print labels, assemble packaging, prepare and pack pallets and book out finished goods when required.
• Diagnose technical machine problems and carry out advanced fault finding/troubleshooting.
• Liaise with engineering upon diagnosis of faults and assist with repairs where possible.
• Ensure advance preparation of the next job is ready for production.
• Ensure all machines and equipment are used safely and in line with the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Complete quality checks as and when required & enter results correctly in Faerch QMS.
• Comply with all current Health & Safety policies and procedures, updating systems as required.
• Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards in the work area and around machines when they are down.
• Adopt working practices to comply with Company and general health and safety requirements.
• Communicate with team leaders and all other personnel as required.
• Any other duties as requested by Line Managers/ other Managers that are appropriate for your job role.
