Job summary

Our client, a Print Finisher based in Leeds LS12, is seeking a dedicated operator for a temporary-to-permanent role after 12 weeks. The position follows a day shift, Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00, with the note that site access is LS12 6TG.

The Print Finishing Operator will finish printed materials to exact specifications, inspect quality throughout production, and ensure proper labeling and packaging for dispatch. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Working Shift Pattern - Day Work

Monday to Friday - 07.30 hrs to 16.00 hrs

The Print Finishing Operator / Machine Operator is responsible for accurately and efficiently finishing printed materials, ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare printed sheets to required specifications.
• Inspect material quality throughout the run, identifying defects such as print issues, errors, contamination, or inconsistencies.
• Ensure correct labelling and packaging of finished goods for final dispatch or further processing.
• Perform routine machine maintenance such as cleaning.
• Follow job specifications, ensuring all customer requirements are met.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance quality.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in print finishing equipment or in a print or packaging environment (preferred but not essential).
• Attention to detail with the ability to spot defects
• Working to deadlines and productivity expectations.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
