Print Controller / Estimator

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Print Controller / Estimator to join our busy production team in Basildon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in print manufacturing, ideally within the direct mail industry, and a proven ability to manage projects efficiently from estimate through to delivery.

This is a hands-on role requiring both operational and estimating expertise, with a focus on quality, cost control, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Production Manager and Team Leader to receive clear and complete job briefs, ensuring full understanding of client expectations and production requirements.
• Manage the end-to-end print production process, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and quality at all stages.
• Estimate print jobs accurately, preparing costings and timelines that align with client budgets and production capabilities.
• Review job specifications to identify the most cost-effective production methods, materials, and suppliers.
• Ensure all jobs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Quickly elevate any delivery or production issues to the relevant manager and assist in finding effective solutions.
