Job summary

BPIF Training is recruiting a Print Apprenticeship Tutor to inspire, develop and support the next generation of print professionals across the UK. The role is home-based with travel to employer sites, and we welcome applicants from the West Midlands or Newcastle who are willing to travel within their region.

You’ll coach learners through apprenticeships, helping them build practical skills and professional confidence while staying up to date with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring or developing apprentices or colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners.
  • Supportive coaching style with patient approach.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple learners.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging apprenticeship and vocational training.
  • Coach and support apprentices throughout their learning journey.
  • Build relationships with employers and provide progress updates.
  • Plan and deliver practical and theory-based learning aligned to standards.
  • Assess learner competence and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain learner records and compliance documentation digitally.
  • Support with Functional Skills in English and maths when needed.
  • Prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessment.
  • Keep up to date with print technology developments.
  • Contribute to a positive learning culture and learner success.

Key responsibilities

What we’re looking for
  • Experience supporting, mentoring or developing colleagues or apprentices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners with varying levels of experience.
  • A supportive, patient and encouraging coaching style.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple learners and priorities.
  • Confidence using digital systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with employers, learners and colleagues.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, quality and learner success.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Level 2 English and mathematics, or a willingness to achieve them.
  • An assessor qualification (CAVA, A1 or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards one.
  • Previous experience delivering apprenticeships or vocational training.
