Job description

Principal Product Manager (AI & B2B SaaS)
Location: London (Hybrid) 2 day in the office - Near Liverpool Street
Principal Product Manager (AI | B2B SaaS)

We're partnering with a fast-growing technology business that's entering an exciting new phase of product innovation. As they continue investing in AI and intelligent software, they're looking for a Principal Product Manager to help define the next generation of products that will shape both the company's future and the way enterprise customers solve complex business challenges.

This is far more than a roadmap management role. You'll be trusted to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, influence strategic direction and build products that deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.

Whether your experience is launching entirely new products or scaling established platforms, you'll have the freedom to own major initiatives from early discovery through to market success.

If you're someone who enjoys solving difficult problems, thrives in fast-moving environments and wants genuine ownership rather than simply delivering requirements, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.

About the Organisation

Our client is an established B2B SaaS business undergoing significant transformation as it embraces AI across both its product portfolio and internal ways of working.

Serving enterprise organisations across multiple industries, the business has built a strong reputation for helping customers make better, data-informed decisions. As customer expectations evolve, the organisation is investing heavily in intelligent automation, advanced analytics and AI-driven experiences that simplify complex workflows and unlock new commercial opportunities.

Product sits at the centre of this transformation. Rather than treating Product as a delivery function, the leadership team sees it as a strategic driver of growth, innovation and competitive advantage.

You'll be joining a collaborative environment where Product, Design, Engineering and Commercial teams work closely together, decisions are driven by customer insight and experimentation is actively encouraged.

The Impact You’ll Have

As Principal Product Manager, you'll own a significant area of the product strategy and have responsibility for turning customer problems into commercially successful software.

Depending on your background, you could lead the development of entirely new products or take ownership of an existing proposition with the goal of accelerating adoption, customer value and revenue growth.

You'll balance strategic thinking with practical execution—working closely with customers to understand their challenges, collaborating with technical teams to shape solutions and partnering with commercial stakeholders to ensure every investment delivers measurable business impact.

This role carries real visibility. You'll regularly contribute to senior leadership discussions, influence investment decisions and play an important part in shaping the organisation's long-term product direction.

As AI continues to redefine enterprise software, you'll also help identify where emerging technologies create genuine customer value, ensuring new capabilities are implemented with purpose rather than simply following market trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own product strategy for a significant business area, ensuring every initiative aligns with customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Lead customer discovery, user research and validation activities to identify opportunities before committing development resources.
  • Build and prioritise product roadmaps using customer insight, market intelligence and commercial data.
  • Work alongside Engineering and Product Design teams to deliver high-quality digital products using modern product development practices.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams to shape successful go-to-market plans and maximise commercial impact.
  • Champion AI-enabled capabilities where they solve genuine business problems and create differentiated customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, confidently discussing architecture, trade-offs and implementation approaches without losing focus on customer outcomes.
  • Analyse product performance, customer feedback and market trends to continuously improve the product portfolio.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across technology, commercial and executive leadership, creating alignment around product priorities.
  • Stay hands-on throughout the product lifecycle, whether that's writing product requirements, reviewing prototypes, validating assumptions or helping remove delivery blockers.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager who combines commercial awareness with strong product leadership and a passion for building exceptional software.

You'll ideally bring:
  • Proven experience leading B2B SaaS products from idea through to successful market adoption.
  • A strong record of delivering products that create measurable commercial value.
  • Experience working in high-growth technology businesses where pace, change and ambiguity are everyday realities.
  • Excellent product discovery skills, with a genuine passion for understanding users before defining solutions.
  • Strong commercial judgement and a clear understanding of how product decisions influence revenue, customer adoption and long-term growth.
  • Practical experience working with AI-powered products or a deep understanding of the modern Generative AI and Large Language Model ecosystem.
  • The confidence to work effectively with software engineers on technical discussions while maintaining a customer-first perspective.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing everyone from engineering teams through to executive leadership.
  • The ability to think strategically while remaining comfortable rolling up your sleeves to solve detailed product challenges.
  • A collaborative leadership style built on curiosity, trust and evidence-based decision making.
  • Experience within data platforms, analytics, research technology or other information-rich software environments would be beneficial but isn't essential.
  • Competitive base salary, depending on experience.
  • Equity participation, allowing you to share in the long-term success of the business.
  • Flexible hybrid working, typically with around two days each week spent collaborating in the office.
  • Opportunity to work internationally for a number of days each year.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus additional company shutdown days.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Dedicated volunteering days to support charitable and community initiatives.
  • Enhanced family benefits, including generous parental leave and support around fertility treatment, neonatal care and pregnancy loss.
  • A collaborative, inclusive culture that values different perspectives and is committed to creating an accessible recruitment process for every candidate.
