Chemistry Search & Selection is helping a high-profile UK medical communications agency recruit a Principal Medical Writer. You will lead on promotionally driven accounts from pitch to delivery, owning an diverse portfolio with end-to-end responsibility in a fast-paced, scientific environment.

The role requires a minimum 4 years’ medical writing experience in a medical communications agency, a Life Sciences BSc (PhD preferred), and a strong track record in rare disease and oncology.

Formación

• Minimum 4 years’ medical writing experience in a medical communications agency working on promotional assets for pharmaceutical clients.
• Experience of working on complex science – rare disease and oncology particularly.

Responsabilidades

• Lead on the development of scientific copy for HCP communications.
• Shape communications for client brands through understanding therapies and data.
• Lead scientific discussions with clients, attend workshops and build trust in your expert knowledge.
• Collaborate with client services, creative and strategy teams for delivery.
• Understand brand strategy and demonstrate strong strategic thinking.

About the Role

You will be leading on a fast paced and highly scientific breadth of promotionally driven accounts. From pitch stage to delivery you will have full end to end ownership of your portfolio in an empowering and rewarding role

Responsibilities

• Leading on the development of scientific copy for HCP communications
• Shaping communications for clients’ brands through meticulous understanding of therapies and data
• Taking the lead on scientific discussions with clients, attending workshops and building trust in your expert knowledge of the science and therapy areas
• Collaborating internally with colleagues in client services, creative and strategy for expert delivery
• Understanding brand strategy and demonstrating strong strategic thinking

Qualifications

Minimum BSc. In Life Sciences, higher qualifications or PhD preferred

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 years’ medical writing experience in a medical communications agency- working on promotional assets for pharmaceutical clients. Candidates without a minimum of 4 years’ agency experience will not be considered
• Experience of working on complex science – rare disease and oncology particularly

Preferred Skills

• DTC experience in addition to HCP
