Job summary

OHO Group seeks a Principal DevSecOps Engineer to define platform engineering, developer experience, and security infrastructure. As the first dedicated DevSecOps hire, you will establish architecture, set standards, and build foundations for scalable engineering.

This is a critical role with long-lasting impact on how the team operates. You will own the internal developer platform, secure pipelines, Kubernetes and IaC practices, and the self-hosted GitLab environment, embedding security

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevSecOps, platform engineering or infrastructure.
• Hands-on Kubernetes, cloud-native environments, CI/CD and Terraform.
• Experience automating infrastructure and integrating security into engineering workflows.
• Experience supporting security compliance and building scalable platforms.
• Ability to operate autonomously and drive architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define the direction of our internal developer platform and improve developer productivity.
• Architect secure CI/CD pipelines and standardised deployment workflows.
• Drive Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps and cloud infrastructure practices.
• Own our self-hosted GitLab ecosystem and wider engineering tooling.
• Embed automated security controls and supporting frameworks (Secure by Design, ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2).

We're building an ambitious deeptech business backed by $12M in pre-seed funding from renowned investors, including Anthropic, Wiz and Revolut.

We're looking for a Principal DevSecOps Engineer to define our approach to platform engineering, developer experience and security infrastructure.

As our first dedicated DevSecOps hire, you'll have significant autonomy to establish the architecture, set technical standards and build the foundations that enable our engineering organisation to scale.

This is a critical position where your decisions will have a lasting impact on how the entire engineering team operates. You'll have the freedom to drive change, take ownership and shape a function from the ground up.

What you'll own

• Defining the direction of our internal developer platform and improving developer productivity.
• Architecting secure CI/CD pipelines and standardised deployment workflows.
• Driving Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps and cloud infrastructure practices.
• Owning our self-hosted GitLab ecosystem and wider engineering tooling.
• Embedding automated security controls and supporting frameworks such as Secure by Design, ISO 27001, NIST and SOC 2.

What we're looking for

• Around 5+ years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native environments, CI/CD and Terraform or similar.
• A track record of automating infrastructure and integrating security into engineering workflows.
• Experience supporting security compliance and building scalable platforms.
• The technical judgement and initiative to operate autonomously and drive architectural decisions.
• Shape the function: establish DevSecOps from day one.
• Drive meaningful change: influence engineering practices across the entire business.
• Own the architecture: make key technical decisions without layers of bureaucracy.
