Principal Transport Planner

Location : Central London

Salary : £55,000+ (DOE)

Type : Full-time, Hybrid Working (2 : 3 or 3 : 2)

A specialist transport planning and development planning consultancy is seeking a Principal Transport Planner to take on a leadership-focused role in their London office. This is a key appointment for someone with strong experience in transport planning, development planning, Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and advanced junction modelling (ARCADY / PICADY / Junctions 9 / 10 / 11).

This consultancy supports developers across the UK on large strategic residential sites, urban regeneration, mixed-use schemes, and major planning applications. The Role

As a Principal Transport Planner, you will :

• Lead projects in development planning and transport planning, taking technical ownership
• Oversee delivery of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, EIA chapters and supporting analysis
• Lead junction capacity modelling using ARCADY / PICADY / Junctions 9 / 10 / 11
• Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level planners
