We’re looking for a Terraform Enablement Specialist to join Anaplan’s Platform Infrastructure team in York or Manchester. The Specialist will empower internal service teams to adopt and excel with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) by championing Terraform best practices and providing reusable, high‑quality “golden” templates. You will report to the leadership within Platform Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and govern a centralized library of “golden” Terraform templates and modules for common architectural patterns.
  • Provide hands‑on guidance and expert consultation to service teams on implementing Terraform best practices for security, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Create and deliver internal training, workshops, and documentation to accelerate Terraform adoption and proficiency.
  • Partner with platform and security teams to embed compliance and organizational standards into the provided Terraform modules.
  • Actively champion and promote best practices for developing and delivering SaaS services into production safely and easily, with zero‑downtime.
  • Apply and expand your skills as necessary. We really appreciate people who are keen to learn and grow.
Qualifications
  • Deep expertise in writing and operationalizing Terraform code in a large‑scale environment.
  • Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Demonstrated ability to create reusable, maintainable, and well‑documented code templates.
  • A passion for mentoring and enabling other engineers to succeed.
  • Happy writing and maintaining documentation for consumption by other teams in the company.
  • Positive energy and enthusiasm – culture is a big deal for us…we’re looking for smart people who love solving big problems and are motivated to get things done.
  • You’re not afraid to show off your work, as well as learn new things.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and pipelines.
  • Any experience with Observability platforms such as Grafana would be advantageous.
