Job summary

Nethermains Primary School in Denny, part of Falkirk Council, seeks a Principal Teacher to lead the school’s ELC and Enhanced Provision, drive improvements, and work with senior leaders to sustain a positive ethos of high ambition, equity and excellence for all.

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled practitioner with strong knowledge of current pedagogical approaches and national/local curriculum developments, and will support colleagues across all levels.

Qualifications

• PVG scheme membership required; cost borne by candidate.
• Demonstrated ability to lead learning and teaching across early level to P7.
• Knowledge of current pedagogy and curriculum developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational management of ELC (early learning and childcare).
• Lead the Enhanced Provision classes.
• Manage PE including lunch clubs and Active Falkirk associations.
• Oversee Nursery - P1 transition and coordination of support for ELC - P3.
• Lead Team Around the Child meetings and coordinate pupil support.
• Maintain high standards of professional practice and contribute to school improvement.
