Principal Teacher – Braidburn School, south‑west of Edinburgh. Salary: £55,155. Hours: 35 per week.
Braidburn School provides a supportive learning environment for children and young people aged 3 to 18 years old with intellectual disabilities and long‑term complex needs. We operate a base class model with up to 8 learners in each class.
Full‑time base class teacher, experienced in teaching a range of levels across Broad General Education in the primary or secondary phase. Promote independence and communication, helping learners achieve their full potential.
Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required. An unconditional offer is subject to satisfactory outcome of these checks.
