Job summary

Quantum Design Oxford is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to develop and support software for its instruments. You will write clean, maintainable code, understand system principles, and identify risk areas while implementing unit tests.

You will drive concept design through to production with the wider tech team and provide on-site technical support during installations. Ideal candidates have strong C++/Linux/Python skills, experience with CMake and GIT, and a degree in a relevant subject

Qualifications

• Proven experience with modern C++ in scientific/technical environments.
• Strong Linux and Python development skills.
• Familiarity with CMake and version control (GIT).

Responsibilities

• Develop and support software applications and drivers for Quantum Design Oxford products.
• Ensure projects meet customer requirements from concept to production with the technology team.
• Provide technical support during installation and operation of end-user systems.
