Job summary

RTX Raytheon UK is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead software development across multiple programmes. The role involves delivering secure, mission-critical systems on-site at Manchester, Gloucester, or London sites, in cross-functional teams with DevSecOps and AI/ML components.

You will collaborate with customers and suppliers, contribute to architectural direction, and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards while supporting professional growth within a dynamic defence

Qualifications

• Proficient in JavaScript frameworks with React/NextJS, TypeScript, Python and Java REST API development.
• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger, cloud services (AWS or Azure) and container orchestration.
• Familiar with IaC (Terraform/Ansible), SQL databases and search tech like Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
