Job summary

Raytheon UK in Gloucester is seeking a senior software engineer for a permanent onsite/hybrid role. You will work on delivering software solutions with a focus on modern JavaScript, Java, Python, and cloud-native stacks.

The role requires SC/eDV eligibility and collaboration within an Agile delivery team. Key technologies include React, NextJS, TypeScript, REST/OpenAPI/Swagger, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, Terraform/Ansible, PostgreSQL and OpenSearch.

Qualifications

• We require candidates to be willing and eligible to hold SC and eDV clearance.
• Experience in core software engineering with modern JS frameworks and languages.
• Experience with React, NextJS, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience with REST API development, OpenAPI, or Swagger.
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure.
• Containerisation and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Ansible.
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Elasticsearch/OpenSearch experience.
• Unit testing and automation with Mocha, Jest, or Cypress.
• Experience in Agile delivery teams.
