Job summary

Raytheon UK in Manchester is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design and build software in a fast-paced, secure environment. You will collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to deliver milestone-driven solutions, contributing to architecture and code quality in an agile setting.

The role requires an active eDV clearance, onsite work in Manchester, and a strong background in modern JS, cloud platforms, and container orchestration. Permanent position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern JS frameworks (React/NextJS) and TypeScript.
• Proficient in Python or Java and REST API development.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure).
• Containerisation and orchestration using Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible) and SQL databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and testing frameworks.
