Job summary

Huguenot Services Ltd in London is seeking a highly experienced Backend Lead to own the maintenance, extension and feature development of our Python/Django stack, including AWS infrastructure. You will architect new solutions, guide a growing backend team, and collaborate with design, front-end and client-facing colleagues to deliver robust, scalable software.

Applicants should demonstrate mastery of the full product development lifecycle, exceptional communication, and the ability to guide

Qualifications

• 10+ years in professional Python development, with at least 5 years using Django.
• Mastery of the full product development life cycle.
• Proven experience handling large, complex tasks and delegating when needed.
• Confident, positive communication; able to guide and inspire junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, extension and feature development across the backend, including AWS infrastructure.
• Architect and implement new software solutions with overall design leadership.
• Collaborate closely with design, front-end and client-facing teams.
