Job summary

iO Associates is seeking a Principal SOAR Engineer (Splunk) to lead design, architecture and delivery of automation solutions across enterprise environments. You will be the technical authority for security automation, working with Incident Response, SOC and Engineering teams to define strategy and drive improvements.

This is a predominantly remote position with occasional travel to customer sites for workshops and delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale security automation.
• Strong knowledge of Splunk platforms (Enterprise, ES, SOAR, UBA).
• Experience with security operations, incident response, and automation playbooks.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and NIST CSF frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of enterprise SOAR solutions on Splunk.
• Define automation strategy to improve detection, investigation and response.
• Develop and optimise advanced SOAR playbooks and workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Collaborate with customers to translate requirements into scalable automation.
