Zusammenfassung

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking a Principal Safety Engineer to lead safety assurance for naval Platform Management Systems. You will drive safety activities across hardware, software, and firmware, coordinating with design teams and customers to meet safety targets.

You will mentor junior engineers, present complex safety arguments to stakeholders, and stay current with IEC 61508 and Def Stan 00-056 standards as part of a sovereign defence software and systems centre of excellence.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in safety-related engineering environments and leading technical activities.
• Understanding of international and defence standards (IEC 61508, Def Stan 00-056).
• Experience with safety assurance of high-integrity software or COTS PE systems.
• Ability to perform safety/reliability analyses and risk justification.

• Lead safety audits in design reviews and safety committee meetings.
• Ensure high-standard technical documentation per procedures.
